Hello Flower Friends!

I can remember back to when I was a little girl picking daffodils out of my yard and giving them to my Mother. She would give me a big smile while happily accepting them. She would then show me how to add food coloring to the water in order to change the color of the petals. It was something that brought me such amazement and joy. It’s a tradition that I now enjoy doing with my Son. But, even though I grew up around gardening, I didn’t really have much interest in it at the time. It wasn’t until I met my Husband and we purchased our first home together, that I started making flower beds and planting pots of flowers around the house. After picking from the flower garden, it always brought me great joy sharing little bouquets with family and friends. Over the years and several houses later, we are now truly “home.” One of the qualities that made me fall in love with our home is the many large flower beds that I feel so blessed to have in our landscaping. One day, as I was watering some planters outside, something clicked with me. I then realized that I not only wanted to grow my own flowers, but to also use them to make gorgeous bouquets. It was from this that our small flower farm has sprouted. I created “In Bloom” with the intention to provide my local community with sustainable flowers straight from the farm. Using my own blooms and creativity to make something beautifully unique for others to enjoy is very rewarding and it makes my heart happy!
